The house rules

• Be yourself

  Use your own recent photos and true details. One account per person, for you only.

• Be kind

  No harassment, insults or hate, including about religion, sect, background or looks. If someone says no, or stops replying, let it go.

• Keep it respectful

  No sexual or explicit messages, and don't ask anyone for them, except in an accepted conversation in the 18+ area where it's available. Never sexual photos.

• Adults only

  You must be 18 or over. Anything involving a person under 18, role-play included, is removed at once and, where the law requires, reported to the authorities.

• Only with consent

  No pressure, threats or blackmail, ever. If someone hesitates, that's a no.

• No money talk

  Never ask anyone for money, gifts or financial details, don't sell or advertise anything, and never buy or sell sex.

• Protect privacy

  Don't share anyone's private details, photos or conversations without their permission.

In chat rooms

• Use your room name

  In a room you're known by the name you choose for it. Don't try to find out who someone is elsewhere.

• Ask before going private

  No phone numbers, links or social handles in rooms. To talk one to one, send a message request.

• Owners set the tone

  Room owners and admins can set rules, mute, remove and ban. They must use those tools fairly.

In the 18+ area (where available)

In some countries, adults who pass a one-time age check can enter a separate, anonymous 18+ area. The rules above still apply there, with these:

• Your first message is a request and follows the normal rules. Explicit messages are allowed only after the other person accepts.
• Nothing involving anyone under 18, ever, role-play included. We remove it and report it where the law requires.
• No phone numbers, links, @handles or other apps: they're refused there, so nobody can move you somewhere unsafe.
• Don't share or ask for photos, names or places.
• Our AI checks every message there too, and moderators read what it holds back or what's reported.

When rules are broken

• Messages that may break the rules are held until a moderator decides.
• Depending on what happened, we may remove content, limit features, suspend or remove an account, or close a room.
• Reports are confidential: the person reported isn't told who reported them.
• If you think we got it wrong, ask for a person to look again through Help & support.
